How WSPR Tales uses AI
WSPR Tales uses AI to help generate story text, character portraits, and book artwork. OpenAI is our current image generation model provider for portraits and illustrated pages.
Uploads
What happens to uploaded character photos
When you provide a character reference photo, we use it to generate a story-ready portrait. The temporary uploaded reference file is deleted after portrait generation completes.
Storage
Where images are stored
Supabase is our current image storage provider. Generated portraits and book images remain stored so your characters and books continue to work until removed or deleted through account flows.
Cleanup
Images are periodically deleted
Outside the main portrait workflow, WSPR Tales periodically cleans up stale temporary uploads and unconfirmed generated images to help protect privacy.

We do not opt in to OpenAI API data training for customer content. Provider choices may change as the product evolves, and material changes should be reflected here.
